Junette Faye Lovato, 81, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 Am Saturday June 6, 2026 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Dr. Howie Batson officiating.
Born on June 1, 1944, in Hildebran, North Carolina, Junette grew up in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina, where she attended high school and developed the strong values of family, hard work, and compassion that would guide her throughout her life.
As a young woman, Junette eventually made her home in Texas, where she built a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others. She worked for Levi Strauss and later Bell Helicopter before pursuing a lifelong passion for helping people feel their best. In 1983, she proudly earned her hairdresser's license alongside her daughter, a special accomplishment and cherished memory they shared.
On September 15, 1978, Junette married the love of her life, Paul Lovato. Together they shared a beautiful marriage and celebrated 44 years together before Paul's passing. Their relationship was built on love, devotion, laughter, and a deep commitment to family.
Junette's greatest joy was her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, whether tending her garden, preparing meals, or sharing stories and laughter around the table. Her family especially cherished her homemade roasts and biscuits, which became beloved traditions and expressions of her love. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, cared for, and important.
Known affectionately as "Sis," Junette earned the nickname because she was always caring for the babies and children in the family. Her nurturing spirit, gentle heart, and willingness to put others first made her a source of comfort and strength for generations of loved ones.
Junette also enjoyed traveling and embraced every opportunity to see the country she loved. She traveled throughout the United States and especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, making the trip ten times over the years. Whether near or far from home, she found joy in new experiences and treasured the memories she made along the way.
She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, whom she considered part of the family. Her kindness extended to every life she touched, both human and animal alike.
Junette will be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the countless ways she cared for others. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, compassion, hard work, and devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the many cherished memories she created and the love she shared so freely throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Donald Knott; her husband, Paul Lovato; her daughter Rebecca Bradley; her grandchildren, Dalton Knott and Josh Lovato.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelli Knott-Bland; Debbie Lemmons both of Amarillo; her sons, Kenneth Knott and his partner Tony St. Clair of Garland; Robert Lovato and his wife Joi of Arlington; her sisters, Sandra Garcia and her husband Rick of Amarillo; Toni Huffman of Hildebran, NC; her 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Breana, Lindsey, Heather, Jamie, Leah, Dylan, Nick, Derrick, Lyric, Harmony and Malloreigh; and 15 great-grandchildren.
