Junie Denice Chambers

On February 18th, 2022, Junie Denice Chambers, age 74 of Amarillo, Texas was able to make the journey home, where she has been reunited with her father, mother and step-parents in Heaven.

Junie was born on the 24th of February, 1947 in Borger, Texas to David and Sibyl Staggs. She graduated from Borger High School and then went to nursing school. She then spent the next 45 years as an LVN and Certified Medical Insurance Specialist with Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and with Dr. Sambasiva Marupudi at the Amarillo Colon and Rectal Clinic.

She won the lottery when she married Richard Lee Chambers of Amarillo, Texas on November 26, 1983. Junie was a member of the Church of Christ at The Colonies.

Junie is survived by her husband Richard Chambers, her sons Charles and Les Saker, their wives Kim and Camillia, her grandchildren Anthony Lindsey, Devin, Abigail, Cassie and David Saker and her great grandson Jason Lindsey. Junie will also be watching over her sister Janie Pruitt, Cindy Grubb and brother Jeff Maxwell and her Niece Lisa Brown and Nephew Rhan Pruitt and their families as well as her cat, Mr. Greyson.

Junie is preceded in death by her father David Staggs and step mother Rethalee and her Mother Sibyl Maxwell and step father Bert.

Services will be held on February 24, at Church of Christ at The Colonies at 2:00 p.m. There will be no graveside services.

Visitation will be at Cox-Rowley on Wednesday the 23rd between 8 and 4.

Junie will be laid to rest at Llano cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Junie would like to request that donations be made to the local pet shelters.
