Kadence Skout Friemel

May 30, 2007 — December 5, 2025

Amarillo

Kadence Skout Friemel, 18, of Amarillo, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by her family and an army of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Messiah’s House Church, 6901 Bell St. with Chaplain Raquela Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Kadence was born May 30, 2007, in Amarillo, Texas, to Brittany Sanders and Kale Friemel. She grew up in Amarillo, attending Olsen Park Elementary, Crockett Middle School, and Tascosa High School.

Kadence had a personality that could fill a room, a house, or an entire parking lot if needed. She was feisty in all the ways that made life colorful. She and her sisters could go from arguing to laughing in the same breath, and anyone who knew them knew they were absolutely inseparable. They were loud, protective, ride-or-die, and deeply connected. A little chaotic, a lot loving.

Kadence briefly, “worked at Urban Air,” just got the notification of an official hire as we were in the hospital. She had a solid work family at Toot’n Totum, where she fit right in and kept things interesting. She was eventually fired for being a little too spirited. Even when she messed up, she did it full of personality and with people who cared about her.

Kadence loved the simple joys, including shopping, riding motorcycles, hanging out with her friends, and perfecting her makeup. Her edges needed to be right, and nails needed to be done. She had a big, blingy style and an even bigger presence. She loved making videos, dancing, and doing anything that involved being dramatic and hilarious.

And Kadence loved naps, truly loved them. Not the, “I’m a little tired,” kind of nap, but the, “cancel my plans, the world can wait,” kind. She could fall asleep anywhere, anytime, and she treated a good nap like it was one of life’s essential luxuries. If she ever went missing in the house, everyone knew to check the sleeping spots first, where she’d be curled up without a care in the world. Her family still laughs knowing that if heaven has a couch, she’s already called dibs.

Most mornings started curled up next to her momma (birth giver as she had it in her phone) for their daily tradition, snuggling, scrolling through SHEIN, and negotiating $2-$5 items. Sweet, silly girl.

Kadence lived hard and loved harder. She was the life of every room she entered; loud laughter, bold opinions, and a heart that held her people fiercely. She never hid who she was. She loved deeply, cared loudly, and showed up fully, every single time.

She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known her.

Kadence is survived by her mother and stepfather, Brittany Sanders and Chris Watson of Amarillo; her father, Kale Friemel of Amarillo; three sisters, Makeya Watson, Keili Friemel (Coby Morton), and Sawyer Sanders, all of Amarillo; her grandparents, Rolisa and Randy Twombly, and Darla and Bryan Friemel, all of Amarillo, the many precious friends who were more like family and her great-grandmother, Sue Carthel of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to a benefit fund in Kadence’s name at Education Credit Union.
