Karen Sue Thatcher

Karen was born December 19, 1957 in Colorado City to Viva and Herbert Armstrong. She graduated from Bellville East High School in Illinois in 1974. She married Barry Thatcher in Amarillo September 26, 1976 and celebrated 38 years of marriage. She was raised in a military family traveling and seeing the country. She was an avid bingo player, having worked at High Plains Bingo for five years as well as managing apartment and hotel complexes. She also worked at Annie Anne's Pretzels in the mall for 12 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Viva and Herbert Armstrong. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Barry; a brother, Mike Armstrong and wife Diana of Butler, WI; 3 sisters, Sheila Klucker and husband Steve of Bellville, IL, Patty Corbet of Amarillo, and Charlene McGlothlin of Prairie Village, KS; and by her nieces and nephews, Sarah Burch and husband Chris, Michael Klucker and wife Anna, Hilleary Peterson and husband Joe, Catie Armstrong, Aiden Armstrong, and Christopher Corbet.
