Katherine Wilson

Katherine Wilson, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday June 30, 2022. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 5, 2022 at Llano Cemetery East, with Eloise Bell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Katherine was born in Munich, Germany to Alois and Katharina UhlSchmidt on April 28, 1933. She worked as a presser for Mission Linens for several years. Katherine enjoyed shopping, collecting Knick knacks and working in the garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being around her grandchildren.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Phil Wilson Sr., one son, Virgil Phil Wilson Jr.; daughter, Carol Ann Sartor-Wilson; Grandson, Danny Ray Hewitt; Granddaughter, Jennifer Sartor; great granddaughter, Ellinore Bernice Smith.

Survivors include her son, Allan “Bruno” Wilson and his wife Alice of Pflugerville; two daughters, Lydia Mona Wilson-Smith and Diana Hewitt both of Amarillo; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
