Kelly Paul Pruett

November 21, 1961 — August 17, 2022

Amarillo

Kelly Paul Pruett was born in Borger, Texas on November 21, 1961 and lived in Amarillo, Texas until August 17, 2022. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Trinity Fellowship Church, Student Ministries Building, 5000 Hollywood Rd.

Kelly was proud to be the son of Cecil and Betty Pruett and the brother to Murray Pruett who preceded him in death, Patrick Pruett and his wife, Mary Pruett of Amarillo, Texas, and Mike Pruett and his wife, Joedy Pruett of Salina, Kansas, who still remain. He was a loving husband and best friend to Tracey Pruett. They built a life together over the last 36 years that touched many people.

Kelly was an adventurous father who always showed up for his children; son, David Jones of Wellston, Oklahoma, son, Seth Pruett of Amarillo, Texas and daughter, Kelsey Pruett, and husband Vitaliy Skorodziyevskiy. His grandchildren are David ‘DJ’ Jones of Wellston, Oklahoma, and Alivea Pruett of Amarillo, Texas. His children by heart include Kylie Massey of Amarillo, Texas, and Jobie Argo of Amarillo, Texas.

It is impossible to reduce the incredibly dynamic life of Kelly Pruett down to a few paragraphs but we can hit a few highlights.

Kelly Pruett was an everyday hero, a man of integrity and honor. He spent his life loving others and people loved being around him. While it’s true that he made his living selling cars, in reality the shop was a place people could come to hang out and fellowship.

While Kelly was a man of many talents, some of his favorite hobbies were fishing and surfing at the lake, hunting and off-roading at the river, or enjoying a Saturday night at the races with friends and family. He was obsessed with food and enjoyed feeding others the fish he caught or the game he harvested. He loved the Word and sharing his faith with anyone and EVERYONE! He felt the biggest differences were made by doing the smallest things. For decades he served with Trinity Fellowship Church where he was known as the “door guy”, and at Bethesda, making sure to put a smile on every face he could. He felt life was always better when shared with others.

Kelly Paul Pruett was taken before he was finished living. His entire life was made up of giving to others and we know he is honored by how many lives he touched in the short time he was here.

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU, ALWAYS!!
