Kenneth Morris

Kenneth Morris, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday March 20, 2023 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Tim Sperduto officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday March 19, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Kenneth was born February 5, 1944 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Namon and Marjorie Morris. He joined the Air Force on February 15, 1965. He married the love of his life, Barbara Elaine Holdaway on September 8, 1965 in Amarillo. Kenneth received an honorable discharge from the Air Force on October 4, 1968 and soon after began his career as a Conductor with BNSF Railroad, retiring after 35 years of loyal service. Kenneth loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. His family meant the world to him. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Elaine Holdaway Morris; his parents, Namon and Marjorie Morris; in-laws, Oby and Myrtle Holdaway; sisters, Norma Bright, Linda Griggs, Ramona Jones; brother, Roger Morris; and grandson, Joshua Scott Morris.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Scott Morris and wife Mattie of Altus, OK, Jeffery Kyle Morris and wife Meredith of Greenville, TX, and Brian David Morris and wife Courtney of Amarillo; brother Doyle Morris of Jasper, TX; sister-in-law Sharon Graham and husband David of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Andrew Morris and wife Keely, Aaron Morris and wife Skye, Kenzie Morris, Katelyn Morris, Tyler Morris, Kylie Morris, Abigale Morris, Kyler Starkey, and Zakari Robbins; great-grandchildren, Emerie, Brekkon, Kaygan, and Ryland; and many nieces and nephews.
