Kenneth Rickerson

February 14, 1931 — April 26, 2015

Kenneth was born February 14, 1931 in Beaumont. The family moved to Oklahoma where he attended numerous schools, graduating from Luther High School in Luther, OK. He attended Oklahoma City College, working towards an engineering degree before being drafted into the army. He served in the Korean War, returning to Oklahoma where he met and married his wife of 62 years, Jewell. They had four children. He was employed as a courier with DOE in Albuquerque, Livermore, CA and finally Amarillo. He retired in 1993 after 32 years. Unable to sit still, he went to work as a driver for Milligan's in Amarillo. He was a member of the Masons for over 50 years, Scottish Rite, NRA, VFW and the Amarillo Gun Club. He was always there willing to offer a helping hand. He enjoyed competition shooting, traveling, gardening and he was a great storyteller. He is survived by his loving wife Jewell; his children, Virginia Coker, Ken Rickerson and wife Beth, Melinda Price and husband Robert; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and his sister, Charlene Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
