Kenneth "Ken" Wadley

Kenneth “Ken” Gene Wadley, 84 of Amarillo passed away March 2, 2025. Celebration of Life services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday March 7, 2025, at Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th with Pastor Brandon Moore officiating. A private family burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Ken was born on January 30, 1941, to Fred and Juanita Wadley in Memphis, Texas. He grew up in Hollis, Oklahoma and graduated in 1957 from Arnett High School in Hollis. Growing up Ken enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, being outdoors riding his horse Shorty and fishing. At just 19 years old Ken married the love of his life Carol Timcisko on November 26th, 1960. Together they created a beautiful life, many amazing memories and had three children. He worked many jobs throughout his life, Ken was a jack of all trades! Ken retired from Pantex in 2008. In his free time Ken was a dedicated golfer. He would book a tee time any chance he got. Ken loved spending time with his family. His faith was very strong, he loved to read his bible every morning with his coffee. Ken always had a great story to tell. He loved to tell his sons “That a boy” until he was blessed with only granddaughters then it became “that a boy, girl”. Something that his granddaughters will always treasure and never forget.

Ken was a loving son, brother, husband, father, papaw and friend. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Oneta Kellison; Kathy Wadley; his three brothers, Carl Wadley; Gary Wadley; Ronnie Wadley; his daughter, Lisa Grubbs Wadley; his granddaughter, Tabitha Grubbs; and his daughter-in-law, Debi Wadley.

Survivors include his wife Carol Wadley of the home; his two sons, Tim Wadley of Amarillo, Texas; Rick Wadley of North Richland Hills, Texas; his five granddaughters, April and husband Mike Delacruz of Whitharral, Texas; Amanda Grubbs of Burleson, Texas; Kari Wadley of Amarillo, Texas ; Kristen Wadley of Amarillo, Texas; Ashly Wadley of Sheridan, Oregon; his seven great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; his three sisters, Rita Chance; Jo Nell Murphy; Kellie Wright; his brother Eddy Wadley.
