Kimberly was born March 21, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas to Jimmy and Kaye Dawn Carlile. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1975, and went on to earn her bachelor degree and later her master’s degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. She worked for Israeli Air, Bell Helicopter, McDonald Douglas and was currently working for Amarillo College as Director of Purchasing. Kimberly used to live in Long Beach, California and she absolutely loved the beach and being near the ocean. She enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, whale watching and riding motorcycles. Kimberly had a heart for women in recovery. She facilitated Bible studies at Randall County Jail, and was very active in Celebrate Recovery, where she was one of the favorite teachers. That program inspired her to open The House of Nahem, which ministered to veteran women in need of recovery. Kimberly made many mission trips to Israel, where she helped rebuild bomb shelters.

She was preceded by her mother, Kaye Dawn Carlile; and her nephew, Japheth Carlile.

Survivors include her father, Jimmy Carlile of Amarillo; two daughters, Tiffany Sanders and husband John of Atlanta, TX, and Jennifer A. Davis and husband Monte of Amarillo; two sons, Matthew Carlile Thornton and Shawn Jernigan both of Amarillo; her twin brother, Kenneth David Carlile and wife Karin of Amarillo; her sister, Carol Reyes and husband Pablo of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Hayden Sanders, Hudson Sanders, Tristen Evans, Emily Rose McKay; and a niece, Gabrielle Carlile.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for Kimberly during her battle. They would also like to thank the many family, friends and Palo Duro High School classmates who took shifts to care for Kimberly.

The family suggest memorials may be made to the Tikvat Am Yisrael, P.O. Box 1228 Costa Mesa, CA 92628.
