Lanny E. Madden

March 9, 1937 — November 20, 2015

Lanny was born on March 9, 1937 to the late Earl and Loraine Madden in Spearman, TX. He was raised by his grandparents in Perryton, TX. After graduating high school in Perryton, Lanny moved to Amarillo to work as a smelter. He married Nancy Womack on May 25,1958. He was the owner of Madden's Jewelers in the Mayco Shopping Center for 15 years. He retired in 1986 and built a cabin in Angel Fire, NM. Lanny lived in Bishop Hills and enjoyed participating in the annual Christmas light show. He was an avid game hunter, golfer, gardener and bowler . He loved his friends, family and spreading the word of Jesus Christ to all he met. He is survived by his two daughters, Cheri Sides and husband Craig of Lubbock, TX and Laurie Newman of Allen, TX; Grandchildren, Aaron, Berkeley and Tyson; Great-Grandchildren, Arona and Sadie Grace; Sisters, Sheryl Scott of Austin, TX and Laquita Henderson of Grand Falls, Montana. He is proceeded in death by his parents and one sister, Sonja Fourrier.
