Larry was born on November 11, 1948 in Gainesville to Clarence and Ruth Miller. He was raised in Canyon, where he graduated from Canyon High School in 1969. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on July 29, 1969, proudly serving until his honorable discharge on July 27, 1973. Larry attended Texas Tech University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture. He was employed with Canyon Nursery and Landscape for over 12 years, retiring in 1992.
Larry was the kind of guy that made you want to be tougher, work harder and eat what's on your plate. He was known for fighting for this country and fighting for the underdog. He is survived by her brother, Bill Miller of Brookings, SD; sister, Marjorie Radcliffe and husband Ronnie of Amarillo and his nieces and nephews, Wade Miller and wife Theta, Jason Radcliffe and wife Diane, Justin Radcliffe and wife Darcy, Robyn Miller and spouse Amber, Jeremy Radcliffe and wife Natalie and Jonathan Radcliffe.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Margaret Dell Brigham, father, Clarence Miller and an infant brother, David L. Miller.
