LaVaughn Harris Bural was born October 28, 1933 in Shamrock, Tx. to Frances and Edwin Vaughn Harris, and passed on to Heaven October 20, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday October 25, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday October 24, 2025 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
As a child, she moved to Amarillo where she graduated from Amarillo High School. LaVaughn married Lee Bural in 1950. They became members of San Jacinto United Methodist Church, where LaVaughn later became membership secretary and historian for many years. She was also a member of United Methodist Women where she sang soprano in the choir and served her church family in many ways. LaVaughn was also a Girl Scout leader, loved gardening, painting, ceramics, sewing, crocheting, traveling and along with the many times going to Lake Meredith and Monument Lake in Colorado. LaVaughn enjoyed being with her family most of all and was very beloved by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; Bill, Bob and Ralph Harris; and her loving husband Lee Bural.
LaVaughn is survived by her daughter, Vonnie McClung and husband Ron of Garland; daughter, Cindi Zermeno and husband Eddie of Choctaw, OK; son, David Bural and wife Kay of Sachse; 13 grandchildren: Devin Ervin, Scott and Jeffrey Yates, and Shawn McClung; Tyson, Adams, and Thomas Zermeno, and Aspen Best; Travis, Kristin, Grant Bural and Kaylee Combs, and Karoline Brandt; as well as 12 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
