Laverda Oleta Randell

Laverda Oleta Randell, 93, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time.

Laverda was born on October 10, 1927, in Turkey to Marion and Emma Cunningham. She graduated from Turkey High School and married her husband, Louis Randell on January 31, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2013. Laverda was a talented Vocalist and would sing alongside her husband while he played guitar. During the early years of their marriage they moved from Turkey to Morenci, Arizona where her husband worked in copper mining. After three years, they moved to Irving before returning to Turkey and later in life made their way to Amarillo where they enjoyed retirement. Laverda was a homemaker and took care of foster children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Randell; one son, David Odell Randell.

Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Blythe of Amarillo and Ramona Smith and her husband Michael of Houston; one son, Steve Randell and wife Phyllis of Fort Worth; ten grandchildren, Kendall Blythe, Jeff Blythe, Courtney Wilkerson, Derek Smith, Tracie Smith, Alicia Smith, Jake Randell, Bryan Randell, Victoria Chaney and Lisa Randell. Seven great grandchildren, Nathan Blythe, Joshua Blythe, Caitlyn Blythe, Jett Randell, Jack Randell, Tyler Randell and Olivia Eno.
