Lawrence "Gene" Hall

Lawrence “Gene” Hall, 87, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday June 21, 2024. Services will be held on a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Gene was born on April 19, 1937 in Dalhart to Fred and Mildred Hall. He married his wife, Wilma Crisler on November 5, 1955 and together they have celebrated over 68 years of marriage. Gene worked for many years in trade school welding, custom farming and as a truck driver; Gene was also a skilled cabinet maker. He was a dedicated family man, always taking care of those he loved most. Gene enjoyed being outdoors, surrounded by nature. In his free time, Gene liked to go fishing, spend time in the mountains and travel the country side.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pattie Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Hall, of the home; three sons, Fred Hall of Prairie Grove, AR, Calvin Hall and wife Coral of Amarillo and John Hall and wife Adriana also of Amarillo; three daughters, Bonnie Boardman and husband Jessie, Margaret Ewers and husband Jerry of Stratford and Jane Backstrom and husband Carl of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
