Lee Bellatty

Lee Bellatty, 57, of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 14, 2019. A Celebration of Life gathering will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 7820 Monk St. in Amarillo. Lee was born May 2, 1961 in Sussex County, New Jersey to Thomas and Elizabeth Bellatty. He grew up in West Caldwell, New Jersey. He moved to Amarillo in 1983. He then moved to Canadian in 1994, where he worked in the oil industry. He moved back to Amarillo in 2008, and worked for Paul Blake Roofing. Lee was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Lee loved to cook and spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Desiree Bookout; three sons, Beau Tyler Bellatty and wife Ashlea, Bryson Thomas Bellatty, and Dustin Bookout all of Amarillo; three daughters, Candace Marie Bellatty and husband Timothy Retallick of Treadwell, NY, Bree Anna Howard and husband Michael of Andrews, and Bianca Bookout of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, Zoey, Xavier, Orion, Kaity, Wyatt, Addie, Kyndel, Joseph, and Bryanna. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the National Wildlife Refuge Association at www.refugeassociation.org; or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
