Lee Ann Mitchell

Lee Ann Mitchell, 94, passed away, March 14, 2026.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Jericho Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.

Lee Ann was born on November 15, 1931, in Jericho, Texas, to Rex and Bertha Brown. A dedicated student, she graduated as the valedictorian of her high school class. In 1950, she married the love of her life, Joseph E. Mitchell, and together they built a life centered on family.

Lee Ann devoted many years to caring for her home and raising her children as a homemaker. After her children were grown, she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed quilting and was an active member of a local quilting club. Lee Ann was also a faithful member of South Georgia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Bertha Brown; her husband, Joseph E. Mitchell and her son, Barry Mitchell.

Lee Ann is survived by her son, Danny Mitchell of Amarillo; one granddaughter and one grandson; and five great-grandchildren.

Lee Ann will be remembered for her dedication to her family and the care she gave to those around her.
