Leelan Ashford

Leelan was born on May 26, 1946 in Amarillo to Luther and Lassie Ashford. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School. After high school he served four years in the United States Navy as well as two years in the naval reserves. He was very proud of his military service. Leelan worked for Bell Helicopter and in the heating and air business before going to work for ASARCO. He had been disabled for many years. He loved his Lord with all of his heart and enjoyed watching and recording religious programs and many different televised Church services on television. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Terry Lynn Adams of Knoxville, Tenn., his cousin and caregiver, Jack Buckner of Amarillo and his closest friend, David White of Amarillo. He is also survived by many cousins who he loved very much.
