Leobardo was born on March 29, 1953 in El Paso to Leobardo Sr and Maria Loya. He was raised in El Paso, where he graduated from Ysleta High School in 1972. He married Beatrice Gutierrez on September 24, 1976 in El Paso. They moved to Amarillo in 1977, where he worked for Tyson Foods for over 35 years, retiring in 2011.
Leobardo was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed listening to his oldies music. Most of all, he loved his family and adored being "Pa" to his grandchildren. Together, they enjoyed many trips and making memories around the campfire.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice of Amarillo; son, Erik Loya and wife Stephanie; 2 daughters, Michelle Loya-Castellon and husband Mark and Mellissa Loya-Castellon and husband Robert of Amarillo; brother, Arturo Loya and wife Guille of El Paso; 2 sisters, Amelia Viescas and husband Armando and Rosa Isela Carrillo and husband Joe, all of El Paso and 5 grandchildren, Zavier, Jasmine, Jesenia, Dominic and Isaiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
