Leon Hudson

Leon was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 28, 1937 to Mart and Edith Hudson. Leon graduated from Amarillo High School in 1955. On July 6, 1958 Leon married the love of his life Marjorue Fouse. Leon attended West Texas University, where he completed his business degree. He then served seven years as a Naval Officer. In June 1967, they returned to Amarillo where he spent a portion of his career in the Insurance industry along with sales at Corporate Systems. Leon was an entrepreneur which led him to start three companies in the internet industry. With the help of his son, they founded the first internet company in Amarillo, ARNet. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where he sang in the sanctuary choir and served as a deacon. He was a member of the gospel quartet "Revelations" for several years. Leon is survived by his wife Marge, three children and their spouses; Elaine Hudson Clark, Brent Clark, Brenda Hudson Stoddard, Clint Stoddard, Daniel Edward Hudson, and Kerra Hudson. He has 8 beautiful grandchildren whom he was so proud of: Lori, Katelyn, Caleb, Hannah, Emily-Anne, Cameron, Bethany and Hudson. He was survived by his sister Lera Boyd and her husband Donnie Boyd. He was preceded in death by his parents Mart and Edith Hudson, sister Lela Moss and her husband Jim Moss, and a brother in-law Verlin Vaughn. The family request memorials be sent to First Baptist Church Preschool Ministry.
