Leonard "Stu" Stuart, 76, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Stu was born on April 5, 1944 in Roxborough, Pennsylvania to Alfred and Susan Stuart. Stu was a United States Veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He married his sweetheart, Linda on December 5, 1981 and they spent 39 wonderful years together. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Stu was an avid cook and they both enjoyed entertaining friends. He loved trains and could often be found working on his model train platforms. Stu was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason. He was a member of Amarillo lodge #731, the Khiva Shriners and Khiva Oriental Band since 1981. He was also a member of the Amarillo Commandery Knights Templar #48. Stu served as the oriental bands president in 1992. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Linda Stuart of the home; one brother, Robert Stuart of Media, Pennsylvania; and his cousins, Matthew and Patty Arrel of Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made the Khiva Shrine Memorial fund.
