Leonard Hudson, 93, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday August 25, 2025. Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Leonard was born on January 27, 1932 in Rison, Arkansas to John and Maude Hudson. He graduated from Borger high school, class of 1952 and attended Frank Phillips College where he obtained a degree in business management in 1964. Leonard served in the United Sates Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1955. Because Leonard lost his father at the age of four years old; He began working from a young age, He worked for Rural Auto Glass and later followed the company as they transitioned into LOF Glass. He was a member of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo for many years. He was loved by his family, enjoyed the company of his friends and will be missed.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parent; his first wife, Eileen Hudson and his second wife, Berta Hudson; his daughter, Glenda Montgomery; his son, Leonard Hudson, and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his grandsons; Shane Montgomery and Michael Montgomery; his son-in-law, David Montgomery; his nephew, Riley Verden and wife Ila; numerous great grandchildren and a host of extended family and close friends.
