Leroy Leslie Richardson

Leroy was born on August 27, 1926 in Henrietta to Clay and Gladys Richardson. He went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2014. He led a full life. Being the oldest of 7 children, he was very devoted to them. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. He was a devoted member of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church in Amarillo and a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a paratrooper during WWII. Leroy worked as a pumper for Sidwell Oil and Gas in Pampa for many years, as well as being the #1 school bus driver for Springcreek School. He later worked for Sheet Metal Union Local # 432 in Amarillo. One of his favorite things was being a leader of the boy scout troops, as well as fishing, hunting and playing dominoes and cards. He is survived by his son, Larry Richardson and wife LeeNet of Amarillo; daughter, Carolyn Collins of Weatherford; brother, Butch Richardson of San Angelo; 2 sisters, Nora Faye Green of Bella Vista, AR and Wanda Clemons of Bella Vista, AR: a brother and sister-in-law; granddaughter, Debbie Daugherty of Weatherford; 3 grandsons, Matt Richardson of Longview, Clint Richardson of Canyon and Kurt Richardson of Ft. Worth; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his close friend, Pat Riggin and her family and a host of other close friends. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; wife of over 40 years, Melvina Richardson; grandson, Bennie Collins and 3 brothers.
