Lillian Mae Nevins Chaney, 80, of Amarillo went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 18, 2018. Lillian was born November 14, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Carl and Gwen Nevins. She moved to Amarillo 1979, where she retired as a cook for the Youth Center of The High Plains in 2005. She married Hershel Chaney on December 29, 2005. Lillian was a devout Christian woman, who enjoyed watching Shepherd's Chapel on a daily basis. Lillian was a caregiver by heart and loved her family dearly. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Lillian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hershel Chaney; daughter, Tracie Lynn Cedillo; three sisters and three brothers. Lillian is survived by sisters, Judy Rose and husband Larry, Mary Headley and husband Jr. and Janet Kibler and husband Chris; brother, Samuel Nevins and wife Linda; son-in-law, Rick Cedillo; grandchildren, Jenie Wilson and husband Don, Quanah Cedillo and wife April and William Armistead; numerous great grandchildren; beloved friends, Cindy Wright and Charlene Brown and her feline buddy, Coalie. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to The American cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
