Linda was born January 12, 1943 in Decatur, Alabama to Auburn and Carrie McKee. She married Elmer Lovelady on October 10, 1959 in Ripley, Tennessee. They moved from Ripley to Chicago, where they spent 24 years before moving to Amarillo in 1982. Linda was a homemaker, and an avid cook who took pride in hosting holiday family dinners at her residence in Amarillo. She loved dirt track racing and became a staple at local race tracks watching and supporting her late husband, brothers-in-law, and grandchildren compete for the last 30 years. She truly was the glue that held the family together and always provided a lending ear for those who confided in her. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, friends and family whom she kept in contact with her on a daily basis.
