Lola Marie Gardner

Lola Marie Gardner, 94, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday May 10, 2019. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Llano Cemetery. Lola was born June 4, 1924 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence and Grace Ayers.  In 1943, she married George Moore in Clarendon, Texas. In 1944 they moved to Amarillo. She worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 44 years as accounting clerk. In 1996 she married C.D. Gardner in Amarillo.  She had a very vigorous spirit and was very generous to her family. It was said of her that she had the most beautiful blue eyes. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Moore; her second husband, C.D. Gardner; and brothers Dale Ayers, Joe Ayers, and Ralph Ayers. She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Howard of Loveland, Colorado; a sister, Marilyn Swindle and husband Ted of Amarillo; a granddaughter,Tiffany Noland; a grandson, Nathan Noland;  three great grandchildren, Christopher, Carissa, and Jonathan; a great-great grandson, Oliver; as well as many nieces and nephews.
