Lolamae was born on June 26, 1929 in Chandler, OK to George Leroy and Clara Estell Pruitt. She earned her Associate's Degree at Seminole Jr. College in Seminole, OK, where she also married DeLoyd McGehee Sr. on February 5, 1951. Together they moved to Stinnett in 1952, Lolamae attended West Texas State, earning her Bachelor's Degree. She then attended Waylon Baptist University, where she received her Master's Degree at the age of 54. Lolamae worked as a teacher for over 42 years, working in Borger for over 28 years, Pringle for over 6 years and Spring Creek for 8 years. At the age of 68, she received her manicurist/ pedicurist license and worked until the age of 83 in that field.
Lolamae enjoyed crafting of all kinds, especially painting, designing, sewing, embroidery and ceramic painting. She was especially proud of her Oklahoma Indian heritage. As her children were being raised, she was very active in their Boy Scouts and served as den mother for many years. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church.
She is survived by her 3 sons, DeLoyd McGehee, Jr and wife Lisa of Amarillo, DeLynn McGehee and wife Kathy of Amarillo and Carl McGehee of Borger; 2 sisters, Joyce Pechacek of Chickasha, OK and Naomi Pace and husband Buster Gene of Seminole, OK; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Pruitt and her husband DeLoyd McGehee, Sr.
