Loretta Sanders Taylor

Loretta Sanders Taylor, 82, of Amarillo went to be with the Lord on Monday January 1, 2018. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday January 5, 2018 at Bolton St. Baptist arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday January 6, 2018 alongside her parents in Godley, Tx. Loretta was born March 20, 1935 to William and Lola Sanders in Cleburne, Tx. She and her twin sister, Laretta, were the 3rd and 4th children of 5 (Ellen, Bill, Laretta, Loretta, and James.) She was a devout Christian who had a great love for gospel singing, baseball, and family. She always met everyone with a sweet smile and a kind word, but she could play a mean game of spades and she loved to laugh. Loretta never missed an opportunity to give a hug or take a walk down memory lane. She lived by the Lord and always tried to do the right thing. She would always remind everyone just how important it is to love God and to love others. She is survived by brother James and four children, Pamela Winters and spouse Dean of Port Angeles, Wa., Karen Lake and spouse Keith of Bowie, Tx., Claudia Burkett and spouse Mark of Canyon, Tx., Donald Taylor and spouse Teressa of Amarillo, Tx. She was MaMa to 11 grandchildren, and NaNa to 22 great grandchildren to whom she referred to as her "angels."
