Lucille was born September 24, 1928 in Thomasville, North Carolina to Lillian and Paul Everhart. She graduated from Trinity High School in Trinity, NC and went on to Ashemore Business College earning her degree in clothier merchandising. She was a buyer for Cobbs, Dunlap's, Hemphill Wells and John A. Browns. She was of the Methodist faith. Her family considered her to be a real character and bit cantankerous with a heart of gold. She was very fond of her sweets. Her favorite pastimes were watching golf and football as she was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed reading. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Nathaniel McVey, 2 brothers, Paul Raymond and David Everhart and 2 sisters, Mary Lee Russell and Betty Winters.
She is survived by her children, Kelley Clark and husband Dane of Amarillo and Traci Williams of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Matthew Fudge, Joshua Fudge, Cory Bowler, Tori Williams and Erica Williams, along with six great grandchildren; also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
