Lupe G. Garcia

Lupe Garcia, 68, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Deacon Andy Gonzalez officiating. Services will be livestreamed at www.coxrowleyfuneralhome.com. Lupe was born September 30, 1952 in Amherst, Texas to Joe B. and Alcaria Garcia. She graduated from Springlake-Earth High School in 1972, and went on to earn her bachelor degree in Education from West Texas State University in 1980. Lupe loved teaching. Her students were her life. She was an excellent baker and loved to cook. She made delicious treats for her students and even her doctors and nurses over the years. She doted on her mother, Alcaria, who passed away just three weeks ago. Lupe enjoyed writing postcards to people and keeping up with her many friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Robert Garcia and wife Nanette; and by her sister in friendship, Cindy Fulfer. The family suggests memorials may be made to Storybridge Inc. @ www.storybridgeama.org.
