Lynda Archer

Lynda Archer, 71, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2024. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday June 1, 2024 at Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S Western, Building B Sanctuary with Pastor Jeremy McMorris officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 PM May 17, 2024, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Lynda was born on May 25, 1952 to Virgil and Leola Webb in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She has been a part of the Amarillo community since 1997. In 2004 she married her husband, Robert Archer and together they celebrated over 19 years of marriage together. Lynda worked as an LVN for many years, serving her community through the Alzheimer’s unit at Bivins Nursing Home and later in home health. She also worked alongside her husband running the family business at Aardvark Automotive for 9 years here in Amarillo.

Lynda was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Sunday school class and spending time with her church family. She Loved meeting new people. Among her many hobbies, Lynda enjoyed business networking, loving on people and playing games with family and friends during her spare time. She loved the Lord and was devoted to serving Jesus Christ. A wonderful Christian, Lynda is now forever in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings and one son, Randy Born.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Archer of the home; her son, Terry Born and wife, Susan of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Logan; one sister, Freda Brisco of Amarillo; survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
