Lynda Castleman Aspelin, 70, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Unity Spiritual Center, 2224 S. Taylor St. Lynda was born June 28, 1949 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Cranful “Bill” and Eula Castleman. She graduated from Hollis High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Amarillo College. She worked for Levi Strauss, Owens Corning, and BSA. She also worked as a massage therapist, retiring in 2017. In her spare time, Lynda enjoyed sewing, gardening, and collecting crafts, antiques, rocks, and crystals. She especially enjoyed her lunches and gatherings with her siblings and was an excellent cook. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Rose Moss; three sisters, Connie Lewis, Joan Cummins, and Jayneese Castleman; two brothers, Milton Castleman, and Calvin Castleman. Survivors include one daughter, Dianna “Zendee” Rose of Amarillo; three sisters, Bobbie Cummins, Diann Pinkert both of Amarillo, and Shirley Pierce of White Deer; three brothers, Billy Castleman and wife Carolyn of Mineral Wells, Jerry Castleman and wife Judy of Houston, and Tommy Castleman of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials may be made to Unity Spiritual Center, 2224 S. Taylor St. Amarillo, TX 79109; or to the family.
