Lynn Everett Tracy

Lynn Everett Tracy, 87, of Amarillo passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Lynn will be available for viewing on Friday, January 15 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Due to the COVID health restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service on Saturday, January 16.

Lynn was born in Granbury, Texas on December 16, 1933 to Hettie and Byrd Tracy. He moved to Happy, Texas at the age of 11 and graduated from Happy High School in 1952. Lynn moved to Amarillo in 1960 and was self-employed through Plains Creamery as an independent milk distributor. He was also a licensed real estate agent and insurance agent. After retiring from Plains Creamery, Lynn purchased Siesta Mobile Home Sales and managed the Money Stop Check Cashing business in Amarillo. He had a long-time interest in farming and managed farms in Amarillo and Western Nebraska. Lynn married the love of his life, Ella Jane, in 1986 at First Baptist Church where they both have been long time members. He was a member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Lynn enjoyed music, especially playing the mandolin and guitar. He enjoyed playing with his group, Happy Tunes, at Chick-fil-A. He loved antique cars and owned a Ford Model T. Lynn was active mowing lawns, fishing, gardening, visiting family and drinking coffee with his friends. He was a regular at Henry D’s and the Donut Stop.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnny Tracy and a grandchild, Nicole Lynn O’Neil.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Jane Tracy; two daughters, Teri Tracy (Clifford Nottingham) of Denton and Natalie Sue Kizzire (Jerry) of Carbondale, Illinois; two brothers, Jack Tracy (Cheryl) of Noble, Oklahoma and Gary Tracy (Tammy) of Whitesboro, Texas; three grandchildren Koby Kizzire (Jessica), Kameron Kizzire (Kelsie), and Katie Garbuz (Darren) and seven great grandchildren (with one on the way); numerous nieces and nephews.
