Mac Elaine Mcfarland Elliott

July 5, 1937 — January 27, 2016

Mac was born July 5, 1937 in Plainview to Evelyn and Mackey B. McFarland. She moved to Amarillo with her parents in 1939 and remained a resident ever since. On September 22, 1956, she married Robert Gordon Elliott in Amarillo. Together, they raised five children. She was in the insurance business for 35 years, as an insurance claims manager. She was a member of Sweet Adeline's Women's Barbershop Chorus for a number of years, where she sang alto. She thoroughly loved her family, the family history of her ancestors as well as her extended family of brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a member and greeter at Southwest Church of Christ for 13 years. She loved decorating for the holidays. She was an avid collector of miniature bottles and had many hobbies including writing poetry, painting, jewelry making, arranging flowers, gardening, fishing, camping and bowling. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of over 59 years, Robert; her children, Sherrie, Scott, Steve, Shane and Shandy Elliott; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her siblings, Bill McFarland, Richard McFarland and wife Jane, Gina Marrale and husband Rick and Debbie Crabb and husband Tom.
