Madison was born on May 27, 2004 to Matthew Hurst and Vanessa Leetsch Quest in Abilene, TX. She attended schools in Abilene and Trent as well as Amarillo and was currently an 8th grader at Fannin Middle School. She inherited some of her intelligence from her mother, as she excelled in and won an award for English in 7th grade. Madison was at the top of her class, an A honor roll student and a million word reader when she was in elementary school. She loved to read, loved anime, loved animals, especially cats, art and music. Madison was a beautiful young lady and a self-proclaimed edgy teenager that shared her happy heart and sarcastic personality with everyone that she met. Madison and her dad would always make jokes together. When she entered a room, the whole thing lit up. She had a heart as big and as deep as the ocean. She inherited a deep love and appreciation for music from her daddy, and was a connoisseur of all genres, her favorite being rock and punk. She was the protector and best friend to her younger sister, Kristen, with nicknames like "Lil Sis" and "Big Sis". They shared their love for anime, and tomatoes.
Survivors include her father, Matt Hurst of Amarillo; her mother, Vanessa Quest of Trent; her sister, Kristen K. Hurst of Amarillo; her grandparents, Rick and Katie Hurst of Amarillo, Jeannie Leetsch of Abilene and William Leetsch of Abilene; Auntie Katie and Arron Mason of Abilene; Aunt Holly and Uncle Kelley of Lewisville, TX , as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Texas Panhandle Suicide Prevention Coalition.
