Margaret Patricia (Cozens) Kretzler

Margaret Patricia Cozens Kretzler, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday October, 15, 2020. Graveside services are 10:00 AM Monday, October 19, 2020, at Llano Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Virnau officiating. Margaret will be available for viewing Sunday, October 18, 2020, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Margaret was born March 13, 1941, in Norfolk England to Dorothy and Edward Cozens. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two brothers, Edward Cozens and infant, John Cozens. Margaret was also preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Valdez. She loved her cup of tea and fish and chips. Margaret cherished her English Heritage. She had stories to tell, like growing up in the 50s and hanging out with the “Teddy Boys”. Margaret also was a dance instructor in England and married an American G.I. before coming to the United States in 1962. Divorced and married again, she became an American citizen in 1982. Margaret was born on Friday the 13th and that was not bad luck. (A note from her daughter, Angela) “Mom, we love you and we will miss you.” She has one daughter, Angela Beals and Husband Criss Beals; one grandson, Joseph Miranda, and one granddaughter, Lacey Beals, all of Amarillo. She also has a brother, Stephen Cozens and wife Janet Cozens, and their sons Scott, Roy and Marcus Cozens of England; one niece, Sarah; one nephew, Anthony Cozens, both of England and more nieces and nephews; survivors also include her great nieces and nephews.
