Margaret Ann Miller

Margaret A. Miller, 90, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday August 23, 2023.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday August 27, 2023 at the funeral home. Celebration of life services will be 11:00 AM Monday August 28, 2023 at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Burkhalter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Margaret was born May 23, 1933 to Raymond and Helen Harrison. Her family lived on a farm in Gracemont, Oklahoma. Margaret graduated from Gracemont High School, where she loved to play girls basketball and softball. She married William Miller on September 4, 1955. They were married for 39 years until his passing in 1995. Together they raised two children, Mike and Pam.

Margaret worked as a sales clerk for Sears for 24 years. After retiring from Sears, Margaret spent many years watching the daughters of a family friend for many years. Megan and Alex Easterling always kept in touch with their “Mimi” and they were very special to her. Margaret was a homebody and loved to stay busy. She loved baking, cooking good food, knitting, working in the yard, she always made a warm and loving home for her family. Margaret was a member of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church and loved the fellowship of her church family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Bill; two sisters Patricia Harrison and Mary Blakley.

Survivors include a son, Mike Miller and wife Darla of Amarillo; a daughter Pam Raymond and husband David of Lafayette, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Dannah Harrington and husband Joshua of Decatur, Texas; Brandon Miller and wife Lauren of Amarillo, Texas; Dustin Miller and wife Meagan of Amarillo, Texas; Deanna Amos and husband Brandon of Lafayette, Louisiana. Margaret had six great-granddaughters, Stella Harrington 17, Madison Miller 14, Samantha Harrington 12, Abigail Amos 6, Anna Marie Amos 3, Blythe Miller 3.
