Anita was called home on Sunday morning, October 19, 2014. She was born on April 25, 1929 to Lyndon and Pearl Long in Forgan, OK where she was raised the youngest of five children. She married Wilson Rich in 1943 and together they moved to Amarillo. She was a homemaker and mother of 3. She owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics located in Western Plaza from 1960-1989. Anita was a real people person and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. But her true passions were her family, cooking and her Chihuahuas. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Collins and spouse Cliff of Amarillo; 2 sons, Jim Rich and spouse Sherry of College Station and Tony Rich of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Wilson Rich; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and one grandchild.
