Maria Villa

Maria Villa, 55, of Amarillo and formerly of Battle Mountain, Nevada passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Laurence Cathedral, 2300 N. Spring, Amarillo, with Father Roberto Cabrera officiating. Maria was born July 6, 1958, in Chihuahua, Mexico to David and Soccorro Villa. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Battle Mountain, Nevada. She was a wonderful mother, sister and aunt. A Godly woman, whose strength, persistence and faith in God, kept her and her family going through the difficult times. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Soccorro. Maria is survived by her husband, Art Castellanos of Battle Mountain, NV; daughter: Aundrea Ogushi of Reno, NV; 3 brothers: Victor of Battle Mountain, NV, Daniel and wife Rachel of Amarillo, and Pollo of Chihuahua, Mexico; 6 sisters: Teresa, Cotilda, Isabel, and Lupe all of Chihuahua, Mexico, Estella of Las Vegas, NV and Soccorro of Reno, NV
