Marjorie  Lee Maples 90 of Amarillo, Texas passed away on February 17, 2019.  She was born in Milano County, Texas to Joe  and Sena Swift on November  8, 1928.  On Oct 17, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico she married N C Maples. She attended cosmetology school in Waco, Texas. She was a cosmetologist for 12 years before she and N C started a family. She worked at Central Baptist Church for over 7 years where she worked in the nursery, the office and as a janitor. She especially loved working with the babies in the nursery.  She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Sena Swift and her husband N C Maples, 2 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her son Keith Maples and wife Nicki of Amarillo, daughter Renee Steele and husband Bobby of Gillette, Wyoming, daughter Donna Fansler Smith and husband Miles of Amarillo, son Jody Maples of Amarillo, son Greg Maples and wife Stacey of Amarillo, sister Elizabeth Baker of Weston, Colorado, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family ask that any memorial contributions be made to Central Baptist Missionaries.
