Mark Brian Mays

Mark was born on April 21, 1962 in San Antonio to Samuel and Dona Mays. He moved to Amarillo at the age of 3, graduating from Tascosa High School in 1980. Mark was known to march to the beat of his own drum. He had a passion for caring for and rehabilitating dogs as well as a caring heart for those in need. Mark was an artist, mostly practicing nature photography and abstract sculpturing. His dry wit was well known by those who knew and loved him. Mark was also known to have an "elephant's memory, that always amazed his family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Dona Mays of Amarillo; brother, Michael Mays of Amarillo and several aunts and cousins. Family requests memorial be made to High Plains Food Bank or A Time To Share c/o Hillside Christian Church.
