Mark was born on December 21, 1956 in Amarillo to Marvin and Thelda Rogers. He was raised at Boys Ranch, where he graduated from high school in 1975. There, he earned the prestigious title of All Around Cowboy. Mark then received his certification as a journeyman plumber and worked for Plains Plumbing for many years. He then opened his own business, Tejas Mechanical Services, which he operated until his death.
Mark loved being outdoors, riding recreational vehicles, enjoying the scenery of the canyons and doing yard work around his home. He had a great love for dirt track racing, traveling to many tracks and was currently the flagman at Route 66 Motor Speedway. In his free time, Mark enjoyed attending ice hockey games, twirling Kim around the dance floor and grilling. He was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge 731 and of Range Riders.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin James Rogers; sister, Marla Joan Burge and nephew, Garrett Spring.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Rogers Mulzer and husband Marc of Georgetown; siblings, Mervin James Rogers, Jr., Marvin John Rogers Jr. and wife Tanya of Amarillo, Martha Jean Rogers of Amarillo, Marlin J. Rogers of Fort Worth, Melvin Joe Rogers, Melton Jerome Rogers, Marilyn Janice Spring, all of Amarillo and Donna Keith and husband Birdie of Arizona; brother-in-law, Richard Burge of Amarillo; girlfriend, Kim Simmons of Amarillo and her daughter, Kindra Ashe and husband Warren; nieces, Melissa, Tasha and Shayleah; his kitty, Kit Kat Wilson; his granddog, Miles and many great nieces and nephews who loved him greatly.
