Martha Elizabeth (Nicholson) Williams

Martha Williams, 67, of Canyon, passed away March 5, 2024. Celebration of Life services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday March 11, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Reverend Corky Holland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Martha was born on January 6, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to Edward and Connie Nicholson. She attended Monterrey High School. Martha met and married the love of her life, Noel Williams on May 31, 1980 at Trinity Fellowship Church in Lubbock, Texas. Together they shared over 40 amazing years, four beautiful children, countless trips and many great times with each other. She was the second greatest treasure of our family, the first being our Lord and Savior. Martha was the glue that held the family together. She devoted herself to her family without any expectations in return. Martha was also committed to God, which was so important to her and Noel. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. Martha loved to dress up, as always looking fabulous. You could almost always catch her in her high heels, and yes even at the beach too. She had a knack for decorating the house, some would say she was excellent at it and even coming under budget. Martha was a fantastic cook, King Chicken was always a big win for Noel. She loved animals of all kind, a special kind of love that could keep them alive far past their average life span. Martha was a solid, trustworthy, resilient lady. She was one of a kind, pure of heart. Martha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Wray Nicholson.

Survivors include her husband, Noel of the home; her three daughters, Emily Simmons (Don) of Roscoe, Texas; Sarah Bristow (Zack) of Midlothian, Texas; Christina Williams of Amarillo, Texas; her son, Jacob Williams (Jamie) of Amarillo, Texas; her 8 grandchildren; Rebecca, Jean Paul, Jodi, Luke, Bennett, Madison, Scarlett, and Olivia; her mother Connie Nicholson of Lubbock, Texas; and her brother Nick Nicholson (Lisa) of Lubbock, Texas.
