Mary Lou Davis

April 8, 1934 — February 1, 2016

Mary Lou was born on April 8, 1934 in Adel, Iowa to Robert and Josephine Spring. She was raised in Iowa, where she met her husband, Don Davis. They were married on May 3, 1962 in Ralston, NE. Together, they enjoyed traveling, especially to play Bingo in Laughlin and Las Vegas. She was a very talented seamstress, often making clothing for her family as well as being a talented quilter and gifted crafter. Mary Lou was also an avid garage sell goer. She was a stay at home mom most of her life but worked part time at Polly's, the Elks Lodge and for the VFW for several years. She also volunteered for the VFW and the Veterans Hospital for over 10 years. She is survived by her husband, Don Davis of Amarillo; her children, Linda Barksdale and husband Fred of Amarillo; Kirk Davis of Amarillo; Sandra Haegele of Green Valley, AZ, Suzanne Drummond of Ankeny, IA and Cynthia Hoover and husband David of Ankeny, IA; brother, Robert Spring and wife Sharon of Dallas Center, IA; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Poushyk and husband Michael and their daughter, Anikah; grandchildren, Nick Barksdale and wife Stacey, Brad Barksdale and wife April, Shelbey Davis and husband Trent Ware, Lyndsey Davis, Anthony Hadaway, Troy Davis (USAF), Brent Haegele, Kerry Haegele, Gina Diaz, Shellie Miller, Melinda Diaz, Lisa Ames and Aaron Hoover and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Davis; parents; sister, Vera Cave; 2 brothers, Corles Spring and Jack Wood.
