Mary "Jean" Gaither

Mary "Jean" Gaither, 90, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Cox Funeral Home-Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. Jean was born July 30, 1927 in Hedley. She graduated from Pampa High School. Jean was married to William E. Gaither for 22 years. She was a housekeeper at the Elizabeth J Bivins Home of the Aged for many years. She enjoyed shopping but most importantly loved her family and children. Survivors include two daughters, Sharla Willsey and husband David of Amarillo, and Patsy Smith of Amarillo; two sons, Eddie Gaither Jr. and wife Lois of Andrews, and Dusty Gaither of Palm Springs, CA; a sister, Wanda Frost of Roswell, NM; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ralph Cooper, Arlis Cooper, and Alvin Cooper; two sisters, Melba Moffitt and Janette StoneCipher.
