Mary Hagler Haddock of Amarillo, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 81. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo. Celebration of life is scheduled for 10:00 Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Amarillo's First Family Church, 6101 S. Bell St.
Mary was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Gilbert and Glenda Hagler on August 30, 1943. She married the boy next door, and the love of her life, Ken Haddock on December 18, 1960. They settled in Amarillo, where they lived happily married for 56 years. Mary loved homemaking, roller skating, volunteering at her church, teaching Missionettes, singing in the choir, directing dramas and driving the Sunday school bus. Mary was an accomplished artist and gave private oil painting lessons in their home for many years and was a floral designer. She made the best enchiladas east of Tucumcari, and played a mean hand of Shanghai (even if she always played her hand backwards). Mary and Ken spent six adventurous years in Grand Junction, Colorado before returning "home" to Amarillo. She was a lifetime member of First Assembly of God Church (later known as Amarillo's First Family Church). Mary and Ken were members of the Corvette Club of Amarillo and the Amarillo H.O.G. Club. Mary's heart was taking care of her three daughters (second only to ANY dog) and her nine grandkids — never missing a sporting event or a school event.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Haddock; her daughter, Ginger Driscoll; her mother and father; a brother, Bill Hagler; and two sisters, Lorene Hagler and Esther Hess.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kaye Baldwin and fiancé Jeff Paxton and Kendra Neeley and husband Shawn; and was Gram Gram to nine grandchildren, Kenny Baldwin, Kayla Broadus and husband Chris, Matt Driscoll and wife Sara, Andrew Driscoll and wife Merzie, Kyler Brown and wife Kylie, Kaleb Brown and husband Ernesto Murillo, Karly Wheeling and husband Austin, Taylor Neeley and Grant Neeley; and eight great-grandchildren.
