Mary Jo Rogers

Mary Jo Rogers, 76, of Amarillo went home to our Lord on Thursday January 5, 2023. There will be a private memorial service on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Mary Jo was born on April 29, 1946 to Curtis and Alberta Pitman in Creston IA. She was married to James Rogers in August of 1988. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend.

She loved with her whole heart, while her humor, sarcasm, and witt ran through her veins. She always offered a hug, an ear, advice, and a seat at her table for any and all. She loved a good game of Chicken Foot and would smoke you in a round or ten of Cribbage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Curtis; Sister, Connie and her daughter, Diana.

Mary is survived by her husband James; Her children Dawn Grunalt of Michigan, Her daughter Christine McCoy and husband Troy of Iowa, Her son Frank McCoy Sr. and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, Her son of the heart Curtis McCoy of Amarillo. Grandchildren Teri Jo, Joshua, Samantha, Monica, Clint, Tyler, Douglas, Keaton, Frank Jr, and Ashlynn. Her great-grandchildren Nathan, Ryan, Able, Rosylyn, Gracelynn, Haley, Cameron, Izzy, Kevin, Joslyn, Garrett, Puff. Her very special friend Theta. Her fur baby Pixie. Sister Vivian Kinkade of Iowa, Neil Pitman and wife Denise of Iowa, brother Jerry Pitman and partner Kathy of Iowa, sister Judy Hoffman and husband Richard of Missouri.
