Mary was born on August 2, 1926 in Canadian to Leslie "Bud" and Irene King. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1944 before attending Business College. She married Kenneth Edward Rowley on September 16, 1949 in Canadian. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1984. She worked as a bookkeeper most of her life, spending 30 years with Charles Wolflin at Wolfin Village and was currently employed with T.E. Dawkins, where she has been employed for over 30 years. Mary was known to be strong willed and independent; she was also known have a deep Christian faith. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. Most of all, she was a loving mother and "Mema" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Messer and husband Karl of Amarillo; 2 grandchildren, Kenzie Smith and husband Cody of Canon City, CO and Landon Messer of Amarillo and 4 great grandchildren, Kalei, Emeri, Nevin and Averi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Rowley; 2 brothers, Pascal and Alfred King and sister, Ora Lee Pruitt.
