Marylou Gonzalez Mitchell Sanchez

Marylou was born on April 14, 1935 in Borica, NM to Margarito and Anita Gonzalez. She was raised in Santa Rosa, where she graduated from high school in 1953. She married Tony Sanchez on April 18, 1954. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2001. Together they moved to Amarillo, where she worked for Santa Fe Railroad for many years. Most of all, Marylou loved her family. She devoted her life to caring for her 6 children and loved nothing more than being "Big Grandma" to her family. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Dominos, Uno, cooking for her family and especially dancing. She is survived by her children, Geri Sandoval and husband Felix, Michael Sanchez and wife Lorene, Dina Alvarez and husband Danny and Matthew Sanchez, all of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Amable Sena and wife Rose of Grants, NM and Sam Gonzalez and wife Kate of Belen, NM; 2 sisters, Margarita Ulibarri of Amarillo and Gloria Chavez; her nephew/brother, Joe Gonzalez and wife Dawn of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, Sonia Nunez, Erica Gallagher and husband Tim, Shakera Gutierrez and husband Josh, Taneshia Gutierrez and husband Louis, Michelle Sanchez, Katrina Sandoval, Adicia Sanchez, Jennifer Alvarez and Felix "Pancho" Sandoval and wife Yvonne; 30 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Donnie Gonzalez; brother, Ernesto Gonzalez; sister, Delia Giron and her 2 sons, Raymond and Danny Sanchez.
