Melinda was born December 14, 1968, in Ripley, TN, to Jean and Willis Vanness. She loved to talk about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an avid Star Wars fan and loved watching old westerns, wrestling, Scooby-Doo and the Hulk. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean VanNess. She is survived by her father, Willis "Tunie" Vanness; five nieces, Janie Lowin and husband James, Cathy Adams, Annette Sartain and husband Calvin, Debbie Head and husband Mickey "Mike", Shirley Simpson and husband Bill; and by a nephew, Eddie Davis and wife Mary all of Amarillo.
